Walked from town to home today. It's a 45-minute walk. The walk became a photowalk and I've now just uploaded 20 photos to Wikimedia Commons.

Kunnamkulam Angadi is a street made in shape of a cross. The houses are old and unique. It's an Agraharam granted by the king Sakthan Thampuran.

The streets are changing, old houses are torn down and new houses are coming up. What can I do, but to preserve history by capturing them and uploading to the largest human encyclopedia :)

Apparently, in 1942 a communal riot happened in Kunnamkulam Angadi between Christians and Hindus. I got to know about this through Malayalam Wikipedia. The current generation Kunnamkulam folks don't know about this.

Here's to why Wikipedia documentation is important.
